Facing foreclosure
I scanned the first page, and the tone was shockingly different from our last conversation. My father didn’t offer an apology for the past, but he went straight to his point.
He explained that his business had failed and they were drowning in significant debt. According to the letter, the bank was threatening foreclosure on my childhood home within the month.
They had exhausted all their savings and had nowhere else to turn.
