Cyndi Lauper has proven that she is a catalyst in the music industry, Time After Time. The 66-year-old superstar singer has been married to David Thornton since 1991. The supportive couple introduced their son Declyn Wallace in late 1997. The boy adopted both Cyndi’s and David’s surnames. Declyn is famous by the name Dex.
Cyndi has told interviewers that before giving birth to her son, she tried for five years to conceive. Being pregnant with Dex was a miracle, and she was over the moon when she found out they were going to have a son. Cyndi had big dreams for Dex, but instead of following his mother’s dreams for him to become a famous composer or football star, Dex played hockey and participated in athletics. After an injury, he had to quit sports, and he is currently pursuing a career in Hip-Hop. The mother-son duo is very close.
